ganti hostname dan fqdn di debian

backup first

addhe@google.com$ cp /etc/hostname /etc/hostname_bak20121204
addhe@google.com$ cp /etc/hosts /etc/hosts_bak20121204
addhe@google.com$ echo “mymasterpc” > /etc/hostname
addhe@google.com$ echo “127.0.0.1 mygoogle.mygoogle.com mygoogle localhost” > /etc/hosts

both above command hanya sampel ajah sesuaikan varibel ang di dalam tanda petik dengan nama anda

kalo dah di ganti cek dengan perintah ini

addhe@google.com~$ hostname
mymasterpc
addhe@google.com~$ hostname –fqdn
mygoogle.mygoogle.com

lakukan update hostname dengan perintah di bawah ini

addhe@google.com~$ /etc/init.d/hostname.sh

logout lalu login kembali kini nama hostname anda sudah terupdate sesuai dengan keinginan anda.

*never use debian if you’re not a “super” admin level it’s tools is so many and it’s temption to big to not use it
